Mumbai:The Telecom Disputes Settlement & Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) has directed Sun TV Network, Taj Television and Maa TV Network to produce the agreements they have signed with multi-system operators (MSOs) in eight rural mandals of Kakinada in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, in a sealed cover on the next date of hearing, which is 2 August.

The interconnect agreements signed by the three broadcasters with the MSOs in those 8 mandal areas will be shown to local cable TV operator Sri Maruthi Digital Network’s counsel.

The eight mandals, namely Bikkavolu, I Polavaram, K Gangavaram, Kajuluru, Karapa, Pedda Pudi, Rayavaram and Thallarevu, fall in digital addressable system (DAS) Phase IV areas.

The cable operator has already signed interconnection agreements with the broadcasters and is receiving signals from them.

The cable TV operator’s counsel Deenadayalan submitted that they were in the process of setting up their own digital head-end in relation to DAS III areas and that it was likely to be completed by the next three weeks.

Deenadayalan requested the TDSAT for two weeks to inform it about the establishment of the head-end.
