The recently launched OnePlus 3T is coming to India tomorrow. Here's what you need to know ahead of launch tomorrow.
OnePlus is hosting an event in Delhi tomorrow, where it will be launching the OnePlus 3T. Unveiled last month, the smartphone is basically a new variant of the flagship OnePlus 3 smartphone, and brings with a few changes under the hood.
OnePlus’ event tomorrow kicks off at 11:00AM, and interestingly, the company is also hinting at another announcement. In addition to announcing the upcoming launch of the OnePlus 3T, the event invite also mentioned, “That’s not all, we have something special to announce this time!” As to what OnePlus plans on launching alongside its smartphone is anyone’s guess at the moment. With less than a day to the launch, here’s everything you need to know about the OnePlus 3T.
When compared to the OnePlus 3, the new OnePlus 3T only brings in a couple of changes under the hood. On the design front, you will be hard-pressed to differentiate between the two. The biggest difference is the chipset. In place of the Snapdragon 820 SoC on the OnePlus 3, the OnePlus 3T comes with a Snapdragon 821 SoC instead and it is clocked at 2.35GHz.
Another difference is in the photography department, where instead of an 8-megapixel selfie camera, the OnePlus 3T comes with a 16-megapixel selfie camera. The new smartphone also comes with a bigger 3,400mAh battery, as opposed to a 3,000mAh battery on the OnePlus 3. Besides these, the rest of the specifications and features remain the same. The OnePlus 3T flaunts a 5.5-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) Optic AMOLED display protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 4. It was launched in two storage variants — 64GB and 128GB — and it will be interesting to see if the company launches both the variants tomorrow.
The rest of the specifications include a 16-megapixel rear camera, a battery with support for the company’s proprietary Dash Charge technology, and a fingerprint scanner embedded into the home button up front. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC and GPS.
