Reliance Jio is making the most out of its preview offers by collaborating with device makers, offering users 4G benefits ahead of the official launch. After Samsung, Jio has now tied up with HP to provide laptop owners with improved JioFi2 hotspot device at Rs 2899 with 90-day preview offer.
HP customers need to show the invite mail at Reliance Digital stores to avail the JioFi2 hotspot with unlimited data and content benefits, along with calls and SMS for 90 days, according to a report by TelecomTalk.
This time the company is making sure not to run out of JioFi devices as it happened earlier where only a few customers could get MiFi devices at Rs 1999 due to shortage of stock. Ahead of official launch, Jio has made these devices available across Reliance Digital and Digital Mini stores in large quantity.
The company has also imported improved JioFi 2 devices from China which would offer 6 hours of usage on a single charge. The device takes 3 hours to get fully charged and works as a WiFi hotspot. The new JioFi2 takes lesser time to get fully charged and can connect more devices than the older model.
Reliance Jio aims to enter into more partnerships to offer data bundling schemes which can help push its subscriber base. It is also in talks with almost all the handset vendors, including Apple
A senior executive at a leading south India-based cellphone retail chain earlier said Jio's bundling scheme with Samsung has catalysed sales. "Sales of the Samsung handsets which have the Jio bundling scheme has grown by 15-20% since the launch last week," as reported by ET
The company has also rolled out the Jio Join app to enable users to make HD voice and video calls while connected though the hotspot.
